    —What does it mean when だ follows directly after が like this? Can post in English or Japanese, either is fine.

    I mean as in person to person cite i think thats right sometimes i forget english but what do you expect

    @mog86uk its a particle it's works like wa would its to bind together a sentence but is used in hundreds of thousands different ways so really it can be used in anyway depending on how you use it

    I already know だ is a 助動詞 and essentially is である the plain form of です. But in the sentence「そんな私がだ」, here だ appears immediately after が.

    I've searched on Google and found other examples where __がだ and __がです have been used. But normally people learning Japanese would expect to see something written inbetween が and だ. What is this だ attached to? ^^
