How do people rank high on this website it's really hard for me to even keep up with the practice section :[

Mostly by being careful not to lose your combo. Reach 100 questions answered correctly in a row, and your combo bonus will be x10 EXP on every question (until you make a mistake and lose your combo). You can get over 100 EXP per question doing Practice, if you can keep above 100 combo. ^^
When you've been on the site a long time and are just going over questions you've already answered several times before, then it gets much easier to keep a high combo and get lots of EXP. If you're still in the process of learning new words, it is very difficult to even get any combo bonus.
You're still earning more EXP than me though, since I'm only given 1 EXP per every question now. So you're earning more EXP each day than the rank #1 user. :P
