Hi,
sorry to bother you....
there is one kanji 場 with two hiragana in the vocabulary practice list, in these words:
工場
こうば
(n) factory/plant/mill/workshop/(P)
工場
こうじょう
(n) factory/plant/mill/workshop/(P)
(see for example http://japaneseclass.jp/search/all/%E5%B7%A5%E5%A0%B4)
But ...
during "practice", you have to choose, and if chosen the "other" one (according to the internal database) - it will be wrong. It seems to me, both hiragana should be acceptable?
I stumbled upon my "mistake" several times before realizing that the kanji is the same, but the hiragana (or pronuncition) is different.
thank you!

Those two items are both "Kanji" questions. The items for the answer choices lists of Vocabulary questions are taken dynamically from other items in the database, but Kanji questions have a static answer lists (always have the exact same four manually entered answer choices).

Both of those two readings are valid ways of saying that same word. Those two different Kanji questions both only show one correct reading in their answer choices lists. The answer you chose might have seemed like it was a valid reading, as it has tricky wrong answers like こうしょう that are easy to get caught out by, but whichever answer you chose really was an incorrect reading. ^^

Dear mog86uk, thank you very much for replying. I had to go through the whole sequence again before getting the first of the two 工場, which showed indeed the right こうじょう, and also the "tricky" wrong こうは instead of こうば、so the second 工場 will probably have something the other way around. Well ok - no mistake in the database - apparently some kanji function like this, I suppose i should learn to appreciate that :-)
