- Spaced repetition based methodics always work good.
You can try Anki or Memrise for starts. Anki is more customizable and generally better than Memrise, but Memrise takes less time to adapt and have leaderboards and some other gamification stuff.July 22, 2016 at 7:08am - Try saying the words out loud with enthusiasm, while also "feeling" what the word means. For example, with the word difficult, you look at what the word is in Japanese, say it out loud, while envisioning you saying it when you encounter something difficult.July 22, 2016 at 8:32am

- Contextual learning. Read the word, say it out loud, find example sentences and read those (more than one), and most importantly, after doing all of these, make your own sentences for practice. Thinking about how you use the word helps tremendously in remembering it.July 22, 2016 at 3:50pm

- read the vocabulary 1 by 1 over and over and you will remember what they mean.
Also do the practice. if you don't do the practice, you will forget what the words mean. if you do the practice for each level every once in a while, the meaning of the words will come naturally to you.July 23, 2016 at 6:45pm - if you have a problem remembering only 20 words a chapter, then you will definitely have a problem with level 5. 50 words a chapterJuly 23, 2016 at 6:47pm
