What's the meaning of "どういうこっちゃねん"

どういうこっちゃねん is probably Kansai dialect, although the rest of the sentence is standard Japanese.
・こっちゃねん is a contraction of こと (事, thing/matter/fact) + や + ねん.
・や is the Kansai dialect version of the copula だ (in this case more like its attributive な form).
・やねん in Standard Japanese is something like なの / なのだ / なんだ / なのよ...
どういうこっちゃねん = どういうことなんだ emphatic rhetorical-question-like expression kind of thing: "what is the meaning of this?!" / "what do you call this?!" / "what kind of thing is this?!" kind of expression... So basically the same as the meaning you already found out. ^^
「なんでやねん！」is another very similar expression you would hear somewhere like Osaka, which is usually translated like "what the heck" sort of thing.
↑At least I think it's something like that. I could easily be completely wrong, haha. In the past I've listened to Osakan radio stations a bit, so I've heard some stuff like this. Although, as I barely understand what they are saying as my listening skill is rubbish, that doesn't count for much. xD
