Women's marathon live TV broadcast turned into chaos because of heavy snow

Super heavy snow hit the "Inter-Prefectural Women's Ekiden marathon" which was hold at Jan 15th, 2017.
Since the snow was just too heavy, live TV broadcast got into such a big chaos.
I wonder why they just abort this marathon event.
Let's see what happend.

Okay, what is going on.... TV was just simply white and barely see people standing on the roadside.

Look carefully you can see someone running.
I feel really sorry that they must run under this weather condition...

even though she is running, snow started to lie on her head..

Actually TV commentators cannot recognize who is running now due to heavy snow. Therefore they just don't know what to comment and confused.

Commentator said "It is snowing now". Yes of course I know...

But ekiden marathon was not aborted....
It looks totally different sports now.

Okay somebody, seriously please tell me what is going on now....
Even super expensive TV camera cannot record what is happening now.

I think this event must be aborted seriously.
This weather condition may affect health condition of runners. Let's hope this kind of tragedy never happens again.
