- I would correct that to "finished the app version of the Duolingo Japanese course", except that now they've shoved word tiles for entering Japanese translations onto the website version too, there's not really the big difference that there used to be. ^^;
They've started allowing some users on web to be able to type Japanese answers again, but not everyone yet. They're currently running an A/B test on it, so it's now currently down to luck whether you have Japanese typing or not.
If you're one of the lucky ones who have Japanese typing on web, I recommend doing the course again on web for a slightly better challenge (though it's still a very basic course in any case). ^^October 28, 2017 at 3:30am - Oh I didn't realize that, thank you!
I'll check it out on web but yea it's very basic. I finished the course by taking the placement test lol.
It seems like a really good course for beginners. I've recommended it to my friends who are just now starting with the language.October 28, 2017 at 11:35am - Dafuq? Instant course finish? :D
Course is still beta, I think they will come up with a bit more stuff ;-)

I was waiting for like two or three years for them to release it. I did English for Japanese speakers, almost all of German, and quite a bit of Norwegian while I was waiting for Japanese. But by the time they released it I had already passed JLPT N2 so the course is almost useless to me now. It would have been awesome 3 years ago.November 1, 2017 at 2:08pm
