Is there a reason why ちっとも is preferred as kana instead of the kanji 些とも?

Many words are written in hiragana instead of Kanji. They're used so often, or are so simple to understand that the use of kanji is not necessary.
yeah, I was just wonder which of those it is? Often it's just for clarity or because the kanji is so rare, but as you said sometimes it's just become the common for no apparent reason.
些 is not a jouyou kanji (2136 kanji which are taught in school). I think that is also a reason why this kanji would be less likely to be used? However, 些 is one of the 861 jinmeiyou kanji that are legally allowed to be use for personal names in Japan, but I'm fairly sure jinmeiyou kanji aren't specifically taught in school.
I've never even seen that kanji before. I notice the top part of 些 is 此, which is a kanji used for これ "this". 此れ also is normally written in hiragana. 此 is not a jouyou kanji either--it is a jinmeiyou kanji again.
Kore・sore・are・dore = 此れ・其れ・彼・何れ. As is obvious, all of those are usually written in hiragana. Interestingly though, JCJP actually sometimes uses these kanji forms quite a bit, which is nice for people doing practice with 'show kana' turned off... ^^- (I mean that jinmeiyou kanji are *extra* kanji that are legally allowed to be used for personal names... Sounded to me like I was suggesting only 861 kanji are available to be used in names...)
