I am getting frustrated....I can't find ANYTHING!!! Why recommend it, if you don't give me a resource to learn it???

All sites say "OMG learn radicals, they'll make learning Kanji sooooooo much easier!!"

But where or where do I learn them??? I find no books on them, Google only gives me a fricken list of them (how does that help), I can't find anything else!!!!

WTF!!!!!!

I really want to throw a raige table right now -_______________-

    Eww no.

So learning radicals is not required? Yes or no? Cuz I won't if I ain't gotta :p

It's not required. It makes things a lot easier, though. If you're looking to just use RTK to remember the meaning of the kanjis and not worry about any kanji you may not know, by all means. I would absolutely recommend learning some of the radicals, at any rate. Try the common left hand ones - my Japanese input is not on right now, but for example, once you know tree, most kanji that have tree at the left side are related to tree, same with person, moon/month at the left hand side has more to do with body parts, etc.

http://jisho.org/#radical Is another great way to see how radicals work and how you can use them. It also lets you narrow down to see what radicals can even be used together ^^
