You ever seen this kanji before?

I know there are more kanji than the joyo kanji that people use....I just don't know where to learn the extras....Maybe through books or something I read...

    I think I might of come across it before, but it is hardly worth spending time learning. I think that kanji is used in Final Fantasy XIII for the L'Cie brand, since it is perfect for it. I played FFXIII in English though, so not sure if it was actually written that way ingame.

    烙 hanzi meaning = brand, burn, branding iron, cauterise.

    烙印 (らくいん) = "mark, brand, stigma, branding iron."
    ルシの烙印 = L'Cie brand

    Just look them up in a dictionary if you ever come across them, then put them in your anki deck or whatever. I wouldn't spend a lot of time trying to learn kanji that you may never need to read or write. ^^
