  Good practice. When you come to Japan, imagine that to a greater extent. I am 5'9", 150lbs, and easily the roundest person I know. Tiny. Freaking. People. My jackets for different seasons range from an XL to a 4XL.

  Most in California are super skinny. (Some fat ones here too) As skinny as Japanese people. I'm only 5'7 though....well, it's better to lose now than to have to wear size "fat" in Japan. (That's an actual size, google it) But I think Japanese people are a little smaller than them. Hmm...

  There is a brand that uses the size "fat", but it is not an "actual size" in Japan, as in you won't go into any other store and find size "fat".

  I'm Californian and 6' tall. I've never had much trouble finding clothes that fit well. I'm super skinny, but there are a lot of heavier people in the area as well. I know several 13/14 year olds that are within an inch of my height as well though, so I don't think I would classify us as being generally small.

  Central, Merced. I am in the 9 grade now though.....but the teachers at my middle school weren't much taller...hell, some were shorter than us...
