So pretty niche situation I guess, but can I suggest that we get an option to turn off oblivion in practice?

As is even while changing the settings to only level 1/2/3 you still get oblivion from above. That's great for actual practice... but that's not really what I'm doing >< Rather I'm trying to build up to 100 combo then practice so I don't use up my 30 answers.

You can get around it by continuously changing settings and refreshing it, but that seemed to cause the site to lag out about every 5mins I did it. Needless to say I stopped after 2 times and if the idea is hard to implement then will just practice with oblivion included. Just an idea ^^

if oblivion is the bottleneck, then I will disable it for a while, until we got enough server resources to process the data faster.
I just disabled oblivion in practice, thank you for letting me know.

@beeant, Oh nice!. I'm not sure whether that is helpful for what Minty was saying, but it's always reassuring to see you doing stuff to the site. ^^

Chat is still needing to be repaired, by the way.

@Minty, Oh yeah, I remember those days!

The conclusion I came to was to always make sure you clear out your oblivion every day. More importantly: always end each day with at least 99 combo.

Then, the next day, you shouldn't have too many oblivion to get through and will be starting already on x10 bonus.

One thing I don't know whether you noticed: oblivion encounters always go through vocabulary first--it only begins giving kanji oblivion questions after it runs out of vocabulary. Therefore, if you lose your combo after clearing all your vocabulary oblivion but before you've finished all the kanji oblivion, then simply change Practice settings to Vocab only. ^^

Awkward, I know, but the only reason any of this became necessay is because of the 29 answer exp cap. :\

Edit: Hmm. Seems like I was wrong about it not showing oblivion kanji questions until after you've finished all the voculary ones. I think what I actually did was set it to either vocabulary or kanji only (whichever had the fewest oblivion questions at the time), to make sure I had one of them cleared as quick as possible in case I lost my combo.

Also, I hadn't tried out this change to Practice when I posted earlier. I now understand the way it has been changed. This will be very helpful for Minty. This would have saved me a LOT of hassle back when I had to go through that stage! Lucky. xD

Before I went to japan I always kept my oblivion at zero so it wasn't an issue, but it was at max a few days ago and I still have ~1500 left ><

Beeant thank you very much :D
