Same here. Welcome to the party.

I'm having a hard time with the first lesson. I can't complete it without guess. I somehow got 100% by guessing but i had no clue if the answer I was picking was even right or not.

you probably need something like a coursebook and workbook to help you start :3

I get to the test but don't remember which hiragana went to which letter. So I just guess. at one point my guess was really lucky and some how got 100% right from guessing.

Ususally I just repeat the tests until I remember which hiragana is which

Another way to memorize hiragana [or any katakana or kanji] is to use a sticky note to cover the romanji [pronunciation] and rely on only the characters when you take a chapter quiz. That's what I do.

My teacher gave me this links and I checked some and it is really helping me, maybe you can take a look at them and see what you can get.

Sadly I won't be able to try the app since its for Android and not iPhone. Looks like those sites aren't mobile friendly so I'll only be able to use them at home.

If you want to practice then add me

:c That's bad, but at least I tried to help. So, good luck to you.
  • Razernok
I lost my Skype account due to a hacker and bad account support. I don't use kik since its mainly text based. Never heard of ooVoo.

Looks like the site doesn't let you access the lessons for hiragana and katakana from mobile, it's only giving me kanji on Mobile
  • MaryGryff
I haven't tried to access by mobile, so I can't help with that, but in the computer it works well, maybe it's better if you tried it this way.

@Razernok, Hiragana and Katakana lessons are supposed to be accessible from mobiles. It works perfectly fine on my Android phone, using Google Chrome mobile browser.

When you are on the "Lessons" page, click the icon in the top-right corner (looks like three red dots). This should show the righthand side pannel where all the Hiragana and Katakana lessons are listed. (I think this is isn't very easy to figure out though, it could do with being changed to something more obvious.)

Did this work for you? ^^
  • Razernok
Yea, how is someone new suppose to know that on mobile?
  • houkiboshi
The site's set up on mobile is quite a bit different from the computer/laptop versions. I imagine it's the same for tablets as well
