Personally, I love the whole japanese culture and its language as well. It helped me a lot when I went to Japan as they barely speak english. However, it hit me that I lacked vocabulary so here I am preparing for my next trip in November ;) And you ?- *it helped me a lot learning Japanese. Sorry ;)
I just feel bored and I find this site is fun to play.
they say if you want to know a country's culture better, one way is learning its language.
For my job =) and I want to watch Japanese movies/ anime without subtitles too

Japanese is a beautiful language and learning new things is fun, that's why I'm learning it. I listen to jrock-songs and someday I want to understand what they're singing about xD

Japan is my favorite country and learning Japanese is like learning its culture too.
I am planning to go to Japan in the summer and I wish to be able to communicate with the locals.

My reason for studying japanese is I want to become a exchange student to a diff country because I want to see what others are like :3- Lilgenski, lol I also really wanted to be an exchange student but I was never able to make it happen during my degree. But now I just moved to Japan a few weeks ago for a new job so it all works out in the end if you are focused and persistent.
I live in Japan, I want to be able to fully communicate. And to understand what's written on the packages in the supermarket! lol- kmt lol you pick up a box of cereal on the back and its like "Has a lot of radiation don't eat" So you buy it and eat it = Being a mutant like wiggly
I'm a half Japanese Canadian. Recently married to a Japanese woman. Heading over there in 15 days to meet my new father in law for the first time... He doesn't speak English. I've been lazily studying on and off for years now, but still absolutely useless when it comes to any attempt at functional conversation... Hope this site helps. Loving the community so far.
I like studying languages, so Japanese is the 6th one I try to master. Also, I'm studying Japanese as my minor at uni now and will be going next year to Japan. So, in preparation of that I'm having fun playing around here and learn more new words. ^^
Well I am learing japanese becauae it be my secondary language and also because one day I would like to travel to japan to see the culture and it beautiful sakura tree....and to vist my family and friend.
I'm learning it because I love the culture and I just absolutely love the sound of the spoken Japanese language and the manga and anime!

I took it in high school and fell in love with it. I would love to go to Japan! I've thought about becoming a translator or maybe teaching English in Japan for a little and of course I would like to watch anime without subs and play Japanese video games ;D

Both me and my friend Madi plan to move to Japan after we graduate. I am only in 10th grade so I figured getting a head start would be smart. Plus, I would really like to turn off the subtitles while watching anime. :)

I think the culture and the landscape are stunning so that's why I wanted to go there, when you're going abroad for a year it's useful to know the language xD
