I'm not sure you can use 呼ぶ, since its connotation seems to be literally calling someone and not using a particular name.- I think it Ok actually, in this context it'd have the meaning of naming/designating...

all that stuff is great i hope i dont know any kanji yet so i have no idea. I will start working on pluggin all that stuff into a japanese dictionary as soon as i feel less sick. Thanks for all the responses. The reason I asked was that I am going to be taking Japanese 101 this fall and also I hate my real name and would like to introduce myself and then ask them to call me by the name I want to be called by.
