Alright, I need help. How do I learn kanji?
Some people say learn them individually.
Some say as you learn vocabulary, learn the kanji that comes with it.
Some say learn them in sentences....
UGH OMG SOMEONE JUST TELL ME!!!!!!!

- Well if you haven't already, probably wouldn't be bad to just try a few websites on learning them. I know mog swears by slime forest adventure (which I have installed but keep forgetting to start it up :P ) and personally I swear by wanikani for learning kanji. You can also try sites like memrise or kanji damage area also websites that I know some people like. you really just want to go with whatever helps you keep a routine and you genuinely enjoy. I know some people who learn kanji better by writing it down and for others they find it easier to just look them up on the spot every time until it comes to the point that they don't have to look them up anymore. There is no definite way to learn it that you know everyone will love because it varies person to person. Just try a bunch of different ways and choose the way you want to learn them, the most important thing to remember is to take your time. I've been on wanikani for nearly a year and I know roughly 900~ kanji meanings, some associated vocab, and most common readings. This is a marathon not a 100 meter dash ;)December 14, 2014 at 7:05pm

- If you're after some kind of official answer... You could spend 12 years or whatever learning them the same way that Japanese kids are taught at school? :P
@freakymrq
Play it! :D You'll might find it tedious at first with all the typing, but once you realise you only need to type the first two letters of the keyword it's not so bad (although I virtually always type the full word, because I like the typing practice). I kept only playing the game for a couple of days then not playing for a few months because I was lazy, but I'm glad I've decided to start playing it properly.
Also, check out the "Storyless: Kana Touchtyping" game mode, to try out the crazy input style I use whenever I type Japanese on my computer. I learnt to use it in SFA and prefer it now to romaji input method. :PDecember 15, 2014 at 1:29am - At first I tried to memorize kanji with RTK , but know I prefer to learn kanji with real sentences. Both works, because it's true that if you learn only the meaning at the beginning it will help you to understand what a word is about after, but it's also true that you have to learn them again because they sounds different if they are alone or togheter with another kanji. Do as you prefer, and have fun!I used a lot another website to help me with kanji (memrise.com)
It's funny because sometimes I know what I'm reading but I don't know how to pronounce it. 頑張って ね!
