  well I've never wished I wasn't black but I think I see where you're coming from like we'd stick out more then other gaijin lol. There was this cool half black half Japanese girl on YouTube I used to watch a couple years ago her channel was 'de ja lovely' I think. And I also saw a video of a black guy on a Japanese talk show who was a singer and all the Japanese guests and hosts were totally amazed that he sung in Japanese

  I'm a little confused. I don't exactly know what you're trying to say. It seems a little reckless to me for you to say that if you've never been here before. There are a ton of black people here. I am black, and I often hang out with people from many different backgrounds. And anyone who isn't Japanese stands out like a sore thumb, no matter their ethnicity. That is more apparent when you live in rural Japan, where I live.

  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Japan#Ethnic_groups this is interesting. I like others believed 98% were ethnically Japanese but as the census asks for nationality not Ethnicity Japan is likely alot more ethnically diverse as people black, white or other but born/raised in Japan likely still answer as Japanese to Nationality.

  I think you'll like it. You could easily find an English sub if you want, but it is a really neat series to try to watch without it. Thinking about the other stuff you've talked about on here, I don't know why I didn't recommend this drama sooner. ^^
  
  I don't normally watch any Japanese drama, but that one and Gokusen are just too good not to. I've watched it a few times. I'm still watching Gokusen; I've nearly finished Season 1 and definitely enjoying that a lot too. :)
