2 in THE FUCKING MORNING!!
Loud crashing sound.
My legs took off before my brain registered what happened and i ended up outside in the cold night, in only my underwear.
Some fucking idiot had a bat in his hand, and the front window of our house was smashed.
I chased after him. When I tackled him, he threw me off and swung the bat at me..
In rage I grabbed it, and smashed his head open. (he's not dead)
Low and behold, my own fucking neighbor.
Police were called and they took him in the ambulance.
Dear god, you don't know how mad I was. From the moment I jumped up, I was in rage......It's just me, my mom, and my little sister and brother. Being the only man in the house, I'm the only one they got to protect them.
That was what was on my mind the entire time. Police questioned me for awhile, and then they left.
My whole family was scared. No way in hell I'm going back to sleep. No one else is either, and I'm tired, but I just can't, not after something like that. I gotta look after my family.
Got my little siblings in my bed with me, bat resting on the side of my dresser....
My mom just sent in the kitchen for coffee, I might just grab some too.....
I'm trying to figure out why the hell he would do that. I don't even know the guy, just that he is my neighbor......
I won't be studying for a looooooooooong while, when I'm mad l, I can not function at all.....
Gotta get up for school in like 4 hours.....i might just get dressed now......

I wonder what was going through your neighbour's mind (if it wasn't simply lots of alcohol/drugs)... I'm guessing he wasn't trying to break in and steal stuff... not only because that sounds like a really dumb method of breaking in, but also because I think it must be rare for a theif to be stupid enough to chose their own neighbour's house and think they'd get away with it! -_-
Still, for a neighbour who you don't even know to do that. Sounds like he's a proper nutcase. Well done to you for protecting your family.
WOW I just hope you don't get in any trouble for hitting him. not that he didn't have it coming but its happened before here (uk) and in america i think where the home owner actually gets prosecuted for assault 0.0 the leagal system is crazy.

Nah, the police actually congratulated me.
The only thing I'm ashamed about is that I ran out of boxers yesterday, and i was in my tightee whities. LOL
My mom let us stay home. The shock and stress made me nauseous and i kept throwing up.
My siblings refused to be in a room with windows downstairs. So now they're camping in my room (hogging my tv) upstairs, but I dont mind.
Mom took the day off from work though.
Best of luck in him not pressing charges. You're in the US, right? Yeah... the police didn't charge you, but that doesn't mean anything else won't be coming down the tube. Hope you're young so it'll not be counted too harshly if they do call you out on it.
