How's my handwriting? Can you recognize the kanji I write? That's my biggest problem with kanji, I think no one would be able to read it :(

    of course, everyone can recognize them because you wrote it very clearly. is it really your biggest problem with kanji? mine is remembering them :)

    I am not expert, but it looks really good for me. It is much better than mine, for sure.

    Nothing can be more harder to read for me than cursive english. this is really clear to me, so don't worry! Even if you forget a stroke, most of the time it's still recognizable.

    You should go to renshuu.org. You can print the same kanji practice paper that they use in Japan, which will help you with consistency of character height. Once you are at renshuu.org, go to the "learn" section, and then "worksheets". If you subscribe to their tweet feed on Twitter, you can even get a pro account for a month for free, which allows you to put characters you want to practice on a paper lightly enough to trace.

    Your Japanese writing looks pretty decent to me. It honestly looks better and neater than my English handwriting. ^^;

    Have you tried writing vertically? When I switched from horizontal to vertical when I was practicing writing kana and kanji, it seemed to help me a lot with getting the proportions right. I think maybe it's because in English we don't usually have to think the width of the letters but we are used to keeping rows the same height. I just span my notebook 90 degrees and used the lines as columns, which helped a lot with thinking about the widths and where the horizontal middle of the kanji should be. It also just felt more natural and smooth writing kanji each kanji underneath the previous one.

    It doesn't seem like you have the problem I was having, since your kanji are already nice looking, so maybe this suggestion won't be useful to you at all. Just something I found helpful for my ugly looking kanji. :)

    I feel better now :)

    I just a perfectionist....and my English handwriting I've been told is good too....I was just worried no one would be able to read my handwriting, and thought my kanji were ugly.....
