    I thought you already had Genki and also Japanese For Everyone?

    I don't really use physical books much for learning Japanese grammar. The only ones I own are pretty old, but here they are:

    Teach Yourself Instant Japanese (2000)
    Teach Yourself Beginner's Japanese (1996)
    Japanese For Beginners (Gakken, 1976)
    Nihongo no Kiso I (AOTS, 1973)

    I don't think I'd really recommend any of them over the books you already own, no matter how much I like that little Gakken book.

    And then I have also downloaded some ebooks that are available completely free due to how old they are. I've read through quite a few of them but not studied in great detail. A couple of them date back to before the Meiji period! Can read and downloaded these ebooks at this link.

    The only Japanese language reading material I own is one book which I bought a couple of years ago: 新改訳聖書 (Japan Bible Society, 2003). I has over 2000 pages all written in vertical Japanese, although it does have furigana for nearly every kanji. It is quite kanji heavy, but I think the kanji are restricted to the 1,945 kanji in the Common Use Kanji List at that time, meaning I should be able to recognise all its kanji. Needless to say though, I haven't gotten very far with reading it yet... ^^;
