    If you type かんじ "kanji" in a dictionary, there are several different words all with the exact same hiragana spelling (11 words in the one I checked). The following two are the only ones you're likely to come across and both are very common:

    漢字 (かんじ) means "Chinese character". This one isn't the one Rina is saying the that video.

    感じ (かんじ) means "feeling, sense, impression". This is the one she is saying. ^^

    alright, that's what i thought. so is she saying what she's playing gives a certain "feel"? that's what confused me.

    I think she said something roughly along the lines of "when you try to match the rythm of the song, do you get the feeling for it?".

    I couldn't hear or understand too well what she was saying, and I don't know anything about playing drums. I could be completely wrong. That was mostly guessing from the bits I could make out. :P

    * rhythm

    Also, I might as well add the notes I wrote down when I listened to it for what I thought I could hear. I don't know how close I was to hearing it correctly. I don't do much listening practice, so there might be some mistakes...

    はい。ええと。。。曲に合わせてやってみると、あんな感じになりましたね?
    hai. eeeto... kyoku ni awasete yatte miru to, anna kanji ni narimashita ne?

    it's not strictly a drum thing. cause all the band members use it.
    ill apologize right now for my romaji >:
    one of the guitarists, after demonstrating something, said "hai, ee, konna kanji de paawa koudo(? she says power chords)" and she says more stuff i can't figure out :(

    「こんな感じで、パーワーコードっていうので進んでいくんですが。。。その、パーワーコードの中でもですね、色々とこ引き方があったりして、結構今回の曲ではミュートっていうのが。。。」

    I think that's pretty much what she says (except for that weird とこ after 色々, I don't know what this is '-').

    Translation: This way, it goes on (proceeds) with these things called power chords, but...even among these power chords, there are many ways of playing...in this song we use a fair amount of "mute" (chords)... and then she goes on explaining how to mute a chord :P
