生活保護費支給基準の適正化が必要だ（1月17日付・読売社説）

厚生労働省の社会保障審議会が、生活保護費の検証結果を公表した。生活保護のうち、食費など生活費を賄う生活扶助の支給額が、一般の低所得世帯の生活費支出を上回る逆転現象が一部に起きていた。背景には、デフレ下で一般の賃金水準が低下したことがある。
